| From time to time we send out a mid-month newsletter to let you know about special events. This month we have two such events that we want to bring to your attention.  1. Bring more calm, balance, and joy into your life: Join Bodhipaksa on an introductory meditation workshop via Skype Join Bodhipaksa on a six-week introduction to meditation, in which you'll learn effective techniques to help you tame your wild mind and bring more control, well-being, and tranquillity into your daily life. You've probably heard of Skype -- the free service that allows you to make free one-on-one video calls to friends and family all over the globe. But did you know that Skype can now be used for group videoconferencing? Who is this for? This workshop is suitable for complete beginners to meditation, as well as for more experienced practitioners who want a refresher, or who want to learn the specific techniques that Bodhipaksa is teaching. What you'll learn On this innovative course, you'll have a meditation teacher at your fingertips. Bodhipaksa will guide and support you as you explore two meditation practices: - The Mindfulness of Breathing, which helps to quiet the mind and bring a sense of peace and calmness, and
- Lovingkindness Meditation, which helps to bring a sense of confidence, appreciation, and warmth into your life.

Bodhipaksa has been meeting regularly for a year now with a small, friendly, and very dedicated group of Buddhists. Every Tuesday night we meet, do a brief meditation together, and then explore Buddhist teachings and how they apply to our lives. This is a very welcoming and informal group, and places are very limited. Who is this for? You don't have to regard yourself as a Buddhist to join, although you should be familiar with meditation and have an interest in putting the Buddha's teachings into practice in your life.
