How to ENSURE your resolutions manifest

Hi david,

Okay, so you want to make some positive changes
in your life!

My bet is that you've done your inner research, you’ve
aligned with your Core Energy and now you KNOW what
you truly want and what you are here to do....

(In this coaching article, I’m going to assume that you
ALREADY know what you want to create in 2013. If you’re
not sure about YOUR unique talents and purpose, then check
out this video: http://www.TheLifeYouAreMeantToLive.com )

Until recently, this was just a vague feeling about
"wanting something more."  Now you've pinned it
down.  You've identified a key habit(s) that you want to
change and/or the dream project(s) that lights your fire.

Maybe it's exercising, meditating, starting a new business,
or working on your art. Whatever it is, you're ready to go--
but you just can't seem to get started. You're trapped in
procrastination. (Don't worry, it happens to all of us!)

Let's look at three causes of procrastination and a
simple way to cure it right now -- today.

First off, know that you're not alone.  All of us
have things that we know we want to do, but can't
seem to get going.  We may have wanted to do these
things for years, and for whatever reason, we keep
putting them off.

I'm talking about procrastination that is putting a
halt to something that will make a real difference in
your life.  Why is it that something can be important
to you, yet you can't seem to get it started, much
less get it done?  When this is happening, ask yourself
these three questions:

1. Do I believe that I am capable of doing this?
2. Do I know how to do it?
3. Do I think it will be too difficult, painful, or challenging?

When we procrastinate doing something that is important
to us, it's likely that at least one of these beliefs
is getting in our way.  We either believe that we are
not up to the task, we don't know how to do it, or we
think it's going to be too hard.  If you can answer
"yes" to the first two and "no" to the third,
you're likely to move into action.

However, here's an even easier solution that's even
less work than figuring out how to answer those three
questions :)  Are you ready?  Okay, here it is:

Ask yourself: "What is the easiest, simplest,
smallest thing that I know how to do right now that
will move me towards my goal?"

Now you might say, "Well I can think of some things,
but they won't make a real difference.  They're too
small and insignificant."

My reply to that is this: "If they are in any way
related to what you want to do, they're not too small
or insignificant."

Why is that?  Because the key to overcoming
procrastination is just to get yourself in motion.  It
doesn't matter how small, easy, or simple that motion
is--just do any little bit of action.

You see little bits of action build momentum.  And,
any big project is just a bunch of little actions strung
together, one building on the last.  So, if you can just
get going in any way at all, you're on your way.

Here are some examples to get your wheels turning:

-If you want to exercise, but don't feel like it,
just start moving in any way at all.  Take a short easy
walk to get the mail and then walk around the block.

-If you want to get started on your new business, do an
internet search of businesses like yours and jot down
things you like that others are doing.

-If you want to start meditating, or take your skills to
the next level, go find the exact Program you're looking
for in our Program Catalog:

-If you want to write a book, turn on your computer,
open your Word program, start a new document, and start
writing every idea you can think of related to your
subject.  At first, it doesn't matter if the ideas
are good, just get anything down on paper.

-Call a friend who does what you want to do and ask
them about it.

-Tell a friend about what you want to do and have them
ask you about it.

Anyway, you get the idea.  Just take any action at
all--and see what happens.  When you make a habit of
doing one thing every day to grow what you truly
desire, you'll find yourself in the midst of living
your dreams.

Your action will take on a life of its own and carry you along.

Enjoy your practice!
